My completed Fetching! I love them. They were originally going to be a gift for Christmas. But those cables? That's the first time I've done cables and they gave me a hard time. And I don't want to make another pair soon. So for now these are mine. I may or may not make them again before Christmas!
I turned the heel of my first Jaywalker sock last night. I love this pattern! I'm going to love my Fall socks!
As I was knitting last night before supper for a few minutes I told Ree I was making socks for myself. She said that I already knit something for me (I'm assuming she meant the fetching) and when was I going to knit something for her again? She told me she needs socks and hand warmers and another sweater.
I do love knitting for her. She appreciates it all! The other day we both had on handmade knit socks. It made my heart so happy!
As for reading, I finished Happier at Home. I now have Wuthering Heights to begin!
love! Wuthering Heights, so angsty and emo!!!! (in a good way). Your fetchings look fetching, I love that pattern and I have it nearly memorized. I made my cuff longer and the hand longer but that's because I am tall so I figure my hand is tall as well. So sweet that your daughter loves your knitting, I say knit more!!!
ReplyDeleteYour cables look fantastic on your Fetchings. Ree sounds like she has a wonderful appreciation for handknits and sounds very knitworthy! You may have to do a lot of secret knitting for yourself if you want anything, she is going to be watching!
ReplyDeletelove your mitts and I really like the yarn you are using for the socks....beautiful projects
ReplyDeleteyou are SOSOOO lucky she loves your knitting----my grands couldn't care less. I adore Fetching---honest, the cables get easier every time you do them!!! and those socks!!!! way to go!

ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the striping of your socks! They are perfect for fall. One of these days I'll attempt socks again!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie you have ... you must knit her everything that she asks for! ; )
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful when our families love and request some handknits. I think your mitts look fetching-congratulations!
