Yarn Along

I finished Ree's Easter Shrug! I don't know what I was thinking but one of the sleeves is full length & the other 3/4. But that's ok. It looks so cute on her and she loves it! Pictures of it on her next week!

I also started an Easter washcloth. I have a few other small projects that I wanted to get done for Easter. They won't be ready for Easter Sunday but thankfully the Easter Season is 50 days so I'm all set!! And then Ginny went and posted this morning about the cute eggs & basket she's knitting! Now I need to make those too!

As for reading I started Mockingjay...book 3 of the Hunger Games. Its starting pretty slow. But I'm sticking with it to see how the trilogy ends!

Hop on over to Ginny's to see what everyone else is knitting these last few days before Easter!

  1. Mockingjay was not my favorite of the three books. But all in all I though the series was well done. The Easter sweater is really cute though. I hope it's not to noticeable that the sleeves are different. Oh well, right?
    Happy Yarn Along Wednesday!

    1. I agree about the Hunger Games! The first 2 were great. The 3rd one is eh but I'm anxious to see how it turns out! Once the sweater is on it's not noticeable (too much!) about the sleeves and she loves it so that makes me happy :-)

  2. Like Flyingjen, Mockingjay wasn't my favoroite, but I wanted to see how the storyline wrapped up.
I need to get busy and begin my Easter knitting! Yes, I am thankful it's 50 days long so thank you for that reminder!

    1. Worth it! It's geared towards young adults so it's a fast read. And very well done. I totally recommend it. My sister was on the fence but she just finished the first one and is very thankful she did!

  9. Oh, Easter startitis! I had a whopping case of that last year (I'm making it sound like a disease, oops).

My favorite book out of the trilogy is the Hunger Games; and the movie was awesome. Really really true to the story.
