Boneyard Shawl

My 30th Birthday Boneyard Shawl is finished. This was my first blocked finished knit and all I can say is WOW! I wish I had taken a before picture because it almost doubled in size to what it was pre-blocking! Thank you to Donna at Knit1Spin2 for encouraging me to just BLOCK IT already so I can wear it!

This is a self-portrait through the mirror in the weird bathroom lighting. I like wearing it as a scarf as well.

Excuse the messy hair and messy living room!

I loved the Boneyard pattern. Easy to follow and those last rows of stockinette stitch were great for watching TV. I can see myself making another one just smaller to fit around the neck a little better. The yarn is Rustic Wool from the Queensland collection. It is soft and light. This will be a good shawl to use on cool spring & summer evenings!

  1. Oh so lovely! You did a great job and it looks fabulous on you :) I have not knit that pattern yet...I think I need to knit it now!

  2. I love it! Blocking does make a big difference. I think I might make that shawl with that white and spotted yarn I blogged about the other day.

  3. Love the color, and that Stephen West...I like his designs. Maybe one to bookmark for later. I like it as a scarf, too.
