Yarn Along::finished Oaklet Shawl

I finished my Oaklet Shawl last week & had it all blocked and ready for Saturday's wedding.

Saturday dawned bright & sunny & HOT. No way did I need a shawl even during the ceremony and reception!

But I am very pleased with how it turned it! I wish I'd made it bigger as it's more of a shawlet/scarf but that's okay. Such an easy knit!

I haven't cast on another knitting project since finishing. Instead I've been embroidering! Come back tomorrow to see what!

  1. Very cute! I'm sure you'll get plenty of use in the future. Isn't that always the way it goes though? If you hadn't finished, it would have been cool and breezy. ;)

  2. I am knitting this shawl right now. I am making it larger and it is taking FOREVER. I was wondering ...do I need and exact stitch count to create the border or can I start whenever?

  3. Congratulations Jen, it looks so pretty! It's so hard to have all these wonderful knits when the weather won't cooperate isn't it? Now we can both look forward to cooler weather.

  4. So pretty! It really was a bit steamy this weekend wasn't it. I don't think I used any of my shawls at all. Before we know it we will be complaining that it is chilly again!

  9. Love the colour Jen. It's great you manage to get something finished just in time to wear it for a nice event...then you didn't need it. Oh well I suppose it's better than the other way round!

    I look forward to see what you've embroidered.

    Have a creative day,
    Deb
